Transport and Logistics Qualifications in Spain
In Spain, the National Institute of Qualifications (INCUAL) is responsible for defining, creating and updating the National Catalogue of Professional Qualifications (CNCP) and the corresponding Modular Catalogue of Vocational Education and Training (CMF).
The National Catalogue of Professional Qualifications is divided into 26 families according speciality, and the five professional qualification levels established relate to the level of competence required for productive activities in terms of the knowledge, initiative, autonomy, responsibility and complexity, among other criteria, required to carry out that activity.
In this sector, only professional qualification level 1 and 3 exist.
- Level 1: Competence in a small group of relatively simple work activities involving standardised processes, and which require limited theoretical knowledge and practical capabilities for their implementation.
- Level 2: Competence in a group of well defined professional activities, with the ability to use their own tools and techniques, and which primarily relate to work that can be completed without supervision, within the limits of the aforementioned techniques. Requires knowledge of the technical and scientific fundamentals of the chosen activity and the ability to understand and apply the process.
- Level 3: Competence in a group of professional activities that require a command of different techniques and which can be carried out without supervision. Entails responsibility for the coordination and supervision of technical and specialist work. Requires understanding of the technical and scientific fundamentals of the activities, the ability to assess the factors involved in the process and their economic impact.
